How to get there
The Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra opens its 2026–2027 season with a program of electrifying Russian masterworks. Modest Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain conjures a world of shadow and spectacle, its vivid orchestral colors evoking both the magic and menace of the fall season. Pianist Yoon-Wha Roh joins the orchestra for Sergei Rachmaninoff’s beloved Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor—a work of sweeping lyricism and emotional depth that has captivated audiences for generations. The concert concludes with Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 in F minor. Composed in his youth at the threshold of a remarkable and turbulent career, this bold and imaginative work reveals a singular voice already brimming with wit, drama, and defiance.
