Featuring Stravinsky’s Suite from The Firebird

Embark on a magical, musical adventure with the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra as we explore the power of storytelling through sound. This concert conjures fairytale realms, mythical creatures, and heroic journeys, highlighted by Stravinsky’s dazzling Firebird Suite, a masterpiece of color and imagination. Whether you grew up on bedtime stories or still believe in magic, this program invites audiences of all ages to rediscover the wonder of Once Upon A Time.

Join us for an hour of inspiring and uplifting music with the Bainbridge Island Youth Orchestra!  Performances by the Debut, Philharmonia, and Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Justine Jeanotte & Ryan Dakota Farris.

Debut will feature Beethoven’s famous theme, and sounds of the fall season with King’s Court and Ghoulish Gavotte. Philharmonia will perform works by Joseph Bologne and Richard Meyer, along with a traditional Puerto Rican carol. Chamber will present masterworks by Eric Whitacre, Béla Bartók & Richard Wagner. Plus, a not-to-be-missed surprise encore!

The Bainbridge Island Youth Orchestra, founded in 2001, is a training program for young string musicians seeking an orchestral ensemble experience.  It has evolved into a three-tier orchestra program providing music education for all levels, from the emerging reader to the advanced musician.  BIYO’s goal is to train the student musician in the craft of orchestra playing while instilling a deep love for music and fostering development of a well-rounded individual.

The Seattle International Comedy Competition returns to the Bainbridge Performing Arts with sixteen comedians performing for a chance to make their way into the semifinals.

Based on the Victor Hugo novel and featuring the soaring music of Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast), this epic musical tells the powerful story of Quasimodo, the bell-ringer of Notre Dame Cathedral. Isolated from society but longing for connection, he finds courage and love in the face of prejudice and fear. With unforgettable characters, stunning choral music, and breathtaking theatricality, this production resonates with the timeless themes of identity, compassion, and the price of justice.

Featuring Dvo?ák’s Symphony No. 8 in G Major

This joyful midwinter concert whisks you away on a symphonic journey—by land, sea, and imagination. All Aboard celebrates motion, momentum, and the thrill of travel, with Dvo?ák’s sunny and optimistic Symphony No. 8 as the centerpiece. Full of pastoral charm and radiant orchestral color, it’s the perfect musical escape to shake off the winter blues and explore the world through sound.

World renowned scientist Dr. Kendra Swope is just days away from achieving her most cherished goal: escaping her own species. In an underwater habitat she designed, Kendra works with her only friend, marine biologist Dr. Mike Coleman, finishing up her work for Robertson Oceanographic Technologies (ROT). But the waters are far from calm – a young ecoterrorist is slowing the work, Mike is talking to fish, and the CEO of ROT doesn’t want to cut Kendra loose.  As events compound, Kendra is confronted by her own limited ideas of love and the unquenchable human need for connection.

Adapted from Jim Lynch’s beloved novel, The Highest Tide is a poetic, funny, and deeply personal coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of Puget Sound. When 13-year-old Miles O’Malley discovers an incredible sea creature during a midnight low tide, his small coastal town is thrown into the national spotlight. Through his growing fascination with marine biology and his search for understanding in a world of chaos, Miles’ journey becomes one of connection—to the sea, to science, and to his own emerging self. Presented with Book-It’s signature style of storytelling through narrative and action, this production invites us to rediscover the wonder of the natural world.

Close out the season with a concert that captures the joy of life and the poignancy of its impermanence. Tchaikovsky’s final symphony, the emotionally gripping Pathétique, anchors this moving program—a work of astonishing beauty, grandeur, and vulnerability. With sweeping melodies and haunting introspection, Exuberance & Elegy is a powerful invitation to reflect, rejoice, and savor the music that speaks to our deepest selves.
